About CIRTI

Who Are We

The Codronation Institute of Research and Technology Innovation (CIRTI) is a non-government organisation dedicated to addressing food insecurity, climate change, and biodiversity conservation in South Africa through research, innovation, partnerships, and community empowerment. We work collaboratively with institutions, businesses, researchers, and communities to develop sustainable solutions that create lasting impact.

Our Mission

CIRTI aims to enhance sustainable food productivity, ensuring an adequate food supply to meet the needs of a growing population fostering opportunities to influence policy decisions, promoting the growth of small-scale farmers, and engaging in educational activities for research and development. We strive to achieve this while preserving the ability of future generations to provide for themselves and safeguarding biodiversity.

Our Vision

Our vision is a future where sustainable food production practices are embraced, enabling us to feed the world’s growing population without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. We aspire to create a harmonious balance between food productivity, self-sufficiency, and the preservation of biodiversity, fostering resilient and thriving ecosystems for all.
